Default Pistons rings

Whats are the differences of running a 1.5 1.5 3.0mm rings to 1/16 1/16 3/16 rings

I would go with the size that the Piston recommends though, just to be on the safe side.

The metric ring pack will have less surface fricton on them freeing up some HP & TQ. I have seen results as much as 11.2 HP & 7.9 fllbs TQ(part of this could also be piston design). That is also the same ring pack that is used on the LS1's from GM. I think that the stock LT1 pistons used a 1.2mm 1.5mm 4mm ring pack if memory serves me correctly.

That's interesting.. the ones I got for my re-build were 1.5mm, 1.5mm, 4mm.

Good set, I have the 1/16 set file fit.
If you have never done a set, go SLOW. It takes material off quick. I used a hand crank file grinder and it was quick when you got close.
