engine bay color change
My 97 T/A is silver and the outside is flawless, however, I have been cleaning the engine and bay up the last few weekends. The paint in the engine bay is starting to look a little rough and have been thinking of changing it to different chades of black, just like the 60's and 70's musclecars, etc. I am going to be cleaning, polishing, choming, powdercoating, and repainting a lot of pieces. It would be alot easier on the upkeep and would give it a clean look I think.
Just curious if anyone has done this and has pics and what your thoughts are would be.. all opinions are welcome.
Thanks!
Mike

I completely changed the color of my engine bay on my 97 because I am changing the color of the car. Ofcourse I had the engine, wire harnesses, etc. out of the car. I'll post some pics up later.

Well I started tonight and said what the heck, we are going to do it...I was able to get a little time tonight removing, sanding, taping, and repainting the engine bay black. What a difference, it is looking so much cleaner and nicer!!! Should offset all the other stuff I have plated, painted, or powdercoated. and do think this is my DD for the next month or so until we buy the van. Once i get into a little deeper and I put some pics up on my photobucket site for everyone to check out.
