Default help my car is messed up

my car has been acting up and i was wondering if it was computer related.
these are the symptoms:

it starts and stalls 3-6 times everytime i try to start it, once i get it running (im lightly on the gas to keep it running) it runs on 6-7 cylinders for about 30-45 seconds and it instantly runs fine after that. (this happens every time cold or hot) i know its not the idle air control valve.

when i turn the key on the check engine light comes on like normal, but after i try starting it and it stalls the check engine light isnt on anymore unless i cycle the key off and back on again. i dont know if thats normal or not

ive replaced plugs and wires to try to resolve the problem but it just seems like its electrical because of how after that 30-45 seconds the bad miss just goes away

I doubt that it is your ECM, 99% of the time it is something else that is going bad. When you insert your key is it a lose fit? Reason that I ask is because a freind had the same problem with his 95' Camaro and changed out his key & lock cylinder to solve his problem. The VATS was not making a good connection for the computer feed.

Check the fuel pressure regulator for a leak and check the injectors for leaks as well. Sounds like the motor is flooded due to excess fuel while the car sits for a bit. The clue is that it clears up after 1 minute or 2.

i have an aeromotive fpr and new injectors. i checked pressure and its all fine at an idle its 45psi.

i was having a problem with the ignition locking up on me, where i put the key in and went to turn it and it wouldnt turn so i forced it to turn thats basically when i started to notice this problem. only i didnt think it would cause a misfire when it did start. and the security light doesnt stay on.

Like I said it is probably the VATS messing with you.

Take a look at you idle air control solienod. It might be gummed up inside and sticking. The IAC helps control the fuel as your coming to a stop to keep it from stalling.

I would clean the throttle body an pay attention to the IAC moter - you might wnt to go ahead and replace it as it most likely is old. Mine would never idle right, drilled the throttle body, adjusted the blades open, ect. Nothing worked until I replaced the IAC motor. It now idles great.
Next check the battery and all the electrical connections. Make sure everything is up to snuff.
Finally, you could have a bad wire to the ignition module, opti, or coil. Check all the connections and wires.
