as the title says. Im tempted, but i dont know much about em. are they easier to break? I know i would need 5th gear in the 1/4 mile even with a stock LT1, but 1/4 times arent all im worried about. I want something that slams me back in the seat
good idea/bad idea?

man I can't imagine 4.56 gears..... I have 3.73's with my 6 speed and I am already shifting to 5th gear at 105mph....compared to shifting to 4th around that speed in my old 99 T/A with stock 3.42's....

yea i pretty much canned the idea already, i was kinda dreaming with this thread. If I do anything itll be 4.10s, but im probably just gonna keep saving for a cam swap.
not sure what i was thinking there, i meant 17.9s

I don't get why you can make it to 108 in 4th with 4.10's and I can make it to 105 in 4th with 3.73's....What RPM you shifting at? I am shifting at about 5500-5700 rpm being my motor is mainly stock.
Edit:
I just watched a video I made of a speedo view and 4th gear makes it to 105 mph @ 5500 rpm....so then around 5800 rpm I am guessin I would be around 110-115mph...so I guess It depends on when you are shifting..
