I believe they do, but I would not buy such an important part from AutoZone. Too much of a hassle to get back in to work on, and their reliability has been widely questioned on this board.

^^ Heck no. There's nothing wrong with the Optispark they sell, but the cap and rotor they sell is not the best..

Well, we picked up the Cap kit from O'Reilly. The car isn't running, but there's definitely plenty of spark coming from the coil and optispark now, since we replaced the ICM and the coil.

Well, my wife is an Asst Mgr of an Advance Auto and in 160,000 miles I have only replaced the cap and rotor on my Opti twice and never had an issue. She repeatedly recommended me to other people and I have installed theirs as well and I guarantee my work that if it were to go out, I would replace it (within 30,000 miles).
I've only done one complete Opti cause the guy broke it trying to do it himself. Other than that I have done over 20 cap and rotor kits and not one back yet.

I only charged $40 plus parts.

But I have heard of many complete sets going out within 2k miles.

Well, I wish you lived around Pearland, Tx. The car will run for about 3 seconds with Starting Fuel sprayed into the throttle body, but then it will die immediately after that.

What about the oil pressure sending unit? There is a wire that sends a signal to the PCM that if it detects low oil pressure, it won't run the pump. It's a safety thing to keep from blowing the motor.

Did this all of a sudden start the problem or did it have pressure before and you did some work on it and now it won't start? Check for loose, disconnected or burnt wires.
Also double check all harness plugs, especially into the Opti.
Thing is, I don't know your problem and backround to start diagnosing it. Did it all of sudden quit running or did you do some work and now it won't start?

Edit: Also, does it have a 1-2 second buzzing when you turn the key on that primes the fuel rails?

Well, about a month ago it just died out of nowhere while I was pulling into a parking lot. It did the same thing about a week later. The optispark did go out. The cap/rotor was burnt. We had the ICM tested at O'Reilly and it was bad. We replaced the plugs on the driver's side. It was well overdue and the old ones weren't in good shape at all. If the other is just as bad, would it not run and die immediately?

Yes, the fuel pump does its job. It's hard to miss. lol.

Autozone is fine for soap, tire shine, engine oil or filters but thats it. Something as important as an opti and you better be looking for something made by AC delco or better.
