Default Broken Bolts In Manifold, What To Do?

anyone have any suggestions? i have a 94 z28, the two back bolts on the driver side are broken off in the head, and has a nice exhaust leak, im sure the head needs to be taken off to be properly worked on, and have the bolts taken out, unless anyone has an idea

Ummm, cry?
Just kidding. I take it they are flush or worse, rather than sticking out?
The normal method is to drill the center and use an ezout. But it is a tough job, especially where they are located. Worse case, one can just drill it out, and either retap or put in a new set of threads (don't remember what they are called, but they are around). But if you leave it like it is, you will burn an exhaust valve, which is a very bad thing.

just happend to me. Just get a punch or an ease out and try that. if the ease out does not work then use the punch and beat it and drill the living crap into it and helicoil it. I have not had one problem with mine, except i had to angle one of the bolt holes in my intake. Good luck

Try an easy out, but if you break it off, I'd pull the head like I had to. Machine shop got the bolt out in about 15 minutes. I have heard of people taking a nut, and welding the inside of it to the bolt and using a wrench to get it out, but that would only work if the bolt is sticking out of the head some.

This must be a common problem. Mine did the same thing with the stock manifolds. It might be because the stock manifolds are so damn heavy. But mine was on the back driver side also.
