Cam makes peak power at 5800rpm and have a 3500 stall stock head and bottom end lts tb 3.23 gears is it possible to get those times. was told that setup that i have will not do well together. Opinions comments what should i expect

IMO I dont see anything wrong with your set up. I have the XFI 280 cam in my car it only calls for a 2500 stall but I have a 3600. I leave the line hard as heck. It didnt slow me down any. I dont think it will slow you down any either. I think you will be fine. There have been people with Hotcams and stalls get in the mid 12's.

The stall ratings that are givin for cams are always too low. With my old CC305 comp cams says that I should have had a 2000 somthing stall. I started out with a 3200, and the car would 60ft in the high 1.7 range. Then I had the converter restalled to 4000, and the car would 60ft in the high 1.5 range. Most cam only cars make there peek torque somewhere from 4000 to 4500. If you want to go as fast as possible thats what your stall needs to be also.

remeber though a really high stall isn't all that great for a daily driver. but if you dont mind it loose go for it. i got a 3000 and think i couldve even gone for a 3400 and still have been fine.

Just in general, bear in mind that stall ratings a re subjective to many factors, such as cubic inches and weight of the car.

Just cus it says 2500, 3000, 3500, ect ect that it may not hit that number, I had a 2500-2800 stall and I would hit stall wall with easy which is mentioned to be 2800+ on 94-95 cars with 4L60e's and ODB1

I had a CC305 cam, full boltons, stock bottomend, stock heads, th350 with a 4000 stall, 3.73 gear, works with eather a 26 or 28 tall tire. The specs on the CC305 cam are 220/230 and .544/.544 with a 1.6 ratio rocker arm. My car went 11.70 with this setup, so you should have no problem going 12.50. Im currently puting in a larger cam, that is based off of a GM847 cam but a little different custom grind by crane.

Nah, that was on motor, but its even faster on spray. I didnt get a clean spray pass when I was at the track. I should have some even better motor numbers next year along with some good nitrous passes.

The two main reasons for the good times were weight reduction, and a Th350 trans with a big stall.
