Default Fuel Pressure

Ok guys I need some more help. I am going to run 42 lb injectors on a 383
le ported lt4 12.5 to 1 motor with a 255 lph fuel pump. My question is what kind of fuel pressure do I need to run. Also what kind of fuel pressure do these walbro 255 lph pumps put out? Are most of you guys getting proper
fuel pressure with the stock regulator or are you going with an aftermarket
fuel pressure regulator....Thanks in advance for your time...MM

You won't need anything but stock pressure (43.5 psi) using a stock regulator. You'll get the correct pressure with the 255lph pump, and you won't (as long as the pump is in proper working order) run out of fuel with the stock fuel pressure and 42 lb injectors.

I run a 255 lph with a stock regulator and 42 injectors, and have no problem. Don't get locked into a specific number. Check the pressure at idle. It should be around 39-40. Pull the vacuum line from the FPR. You should see a jump of about 4 psi. If that occurs, you are good to go.
Enjoy, sounds like an awesome motor.

The fuel pressure you see with the vacuum line off is considered good if it is between 41-47 psi (just for reference).
