Guys need some advice on a setup
Ok I have a 94z28 and the only mods I have done to it is
1) 150 shot of nitrous, which I havent sprayed in over a year.
2)17/11 nitto 555rs
3) Muffler was cut off when I bought it(sounds awesome)
4) and that is it.
My deal is Iam saving up to buy a house in the next month or two and I was going to go force induction but since I already have a dry nitrous kit I think it will be cheaper to go motor with spray? Not looking to dump alot of money at once into this car an overtime project. Because I still want to buy a house and cbr with in two months.
So should i buy some long tube pacesetter headers now and put 3'' pipe all the way to the back now?
Or buy a Cam first and if so what kind and what else will I need to buy to install it?
Or a convertor first? If so what kind?
and after this a set of HEADS
SO the final setup with end this year it will have a CAM, pacesetter longtube HEADERS, Full exhaust minus mufflers, Torque CONVERTOR, and the SPRAY and then HEADS as last.
But my dilema is what kind of cam, convertor and the order to purchase to put together to maximize horsepower and not have to purchase another product that I have already bought..
Basically want to do it right the first time as I go.
If you guy could PLEASE give me the specs on what CAM and convertor that will be friendly with occasional spray and my setup I have in mind. I would be so greatful!

Headers are a good choice cam not so good am cam only car still needs the supporting mods springs and rockers. Why do you need a converter do you have to pass emissions if not just cut it off. if you do go with a cam still get a comp cc503 it seems to be a good cam for stock heads.

Yea I would go ahead and get some longtubes or a stall. A stall will really wake the car up especially since you have DR's already. You wont see the full potential of the cam w/o all the supporting mods.

Iam sorry when I said convertor, I meant a Stall!
So What all would I need to buy when I do the cam? Supporting mods? I just want to get one that will be friendly and efficient with a stall, long tubes, and nitrous. thanks!

Headers will help out alot. It's a stepping stone process. You need a high flowing exhaust and intake to compensate for heads/cam.
From experience, I would get gears at the same time, or before a stall.
I had 2.73s with my Yank and it was pretty loose feeling. Meaning: revs alot but doesn't go much... untill you punch it
Also had a problem with the converter having trouble locking up going into overdive with 2.73s. The RPMs were too low for it at 45mph. Got a grinding kind of noise. So get gears first.

ok thanks guys, that helps out alot!!!!!!!!! Way to explain yourselves! Im learning!
So get the LT's first then get the stall and gears(what stall and brand do you recommend is there any cheaper and still nearly as good as yank?)...3.73, 3.90 or 4.10 gears?
