Default cleaning up engine

Hey guys,

I am wanting to clean up my engine some by getting rid of the air and egr. Well i have removed the air pump and some of the egr stuff. I need to get some block off plates to complete that. One of my questions is what vacuum lines and emissions junk (i.e. hoses, etc) can I take off and plug up? I am rerouting some of the wiring harness that are on top of the engine and along the tops of the valve covers.

Thanks!
Mike

The EGR has that one Vacuum line, you can put a Cap on it. Then you have the two plates on back of the Intake, and one on the passenger side Exhaust Manifold. As far as the AIR stuff, make sure that the one connection on the Intake, and the 2 on the Exhaust Manifolds are blocked off. With your car, it might throw a light, so you might have to get it tuned out.

Be careful, I thought I could do the same thing for a while. Then my car starts spuddering and got worse and worse. I had it scanned and there were like ten codes showing. I might have been able to save some work if I had seen the other codes earlier. Probably the best thing to do if you drive with ses light on is to regularly check for codes.

Stock hood, just cut the bottom webbing out of it. It's a tight fit, but it's in there with about a 1/2 inch clearance between that and the Hood. There is a thread of it somewhere..

wrong. i'm on my second 95 and i never threw a code once and both cars have the air and egr completely removed and blocked off. i think it was more of a problem for 96-up.

I took it out, went through it, repaired spots and removed all the wires/plugs that I didn't need. Then I was able to take the Connectors on the Wheel Well, and combine all that into 1 Plug.
