Default Diagnostic software for OBD2 LT1 different?

Ok I am looking at some software to log my computers actions along with tell me what is going on. I currently have a Scanmaster which is good for real time, but im looking for logs of my stuff along with more.

I wouldnt mind tuning in the future via programs, but it seems that tunercat has shifted to jet which jacked it up in price. What are the options for OBD2 LT1 cars? It seems we are in a weird spot being OBD2 and still LT1 motors, making only 2 years like this.

My main deal is which is better for me Autotap, or Datamaster?

Using Autotap here for years, all sensors feeding the PCM can be monitored and logged. Dont know about Datamaster, maybe just as good.

I'm using LT1-Edit for tuning both my cars. Autotap for logging.
