I have a 1961 BelAir with a naturally aspirated, all iron BBC and stock/bolt-on suspension that weighs more and MPH's a lil better, so I don't have to do the math to know that is hauling.....but why you would run a single 3" muffler on an animal like that is beyond me...no matter the brand. I don't think there is a 3" muffler out there that wouldn't choke the hell outta an engine making that much power.

What you have Fergy.. One muffler on a 3" Ypipe?

Yeah the Y pipe goes into about a foot of straight 3" then the muffler with a turn down before the axle. That setup was just temporary so I could quiet it down enough to drive it without getting pulled over. I have a bullet muffler on it now.

X2..pretty much what I've been thinking..a muffler with that y pipe cause too much back pressure.

I may have a pair of them mufflers with my TDs..but it's a high-flow setup.
