On a completely stock car (not even a catback exhaust) it is supposed to be decent at best. My friend has a Automatic 96 SS with pacesetter headers, a loudmouth exhaust and a 52mm throttle body and he LOST 24 RWHP with the hypertech tune on a dynojet. If you are modded at all don't use the tune. That being said I used to use mine all the time to adjust shift firmness, change the speedo for tire and gear swaps and get rid of the speed limiter but save your money, all those things can be done with a real dyno tune for about the same price and you would actually gain horsepower.

I paid $422 for Jet DST, and $75 for my mail order tune, re-tunes are $25 a much better value then the Hypertech.

The only reason I got one was to get rid of my speed limiter and reprogram the rear end gears.

Yup, it's not called a Hypercrap for nothing.
PCMforless.com, MadZ28.com, Fastchip.com, Superchips.com ... they all do good work.

No. I used to have that. If it were cheap (which it isn't), it might be good for the stock setup just to adjust small things like limiters, fans, A4 tranny shifts.... get a tunercat, lt1edit, or custom tune from one of the shops mentioned on the site.
