Default max undersize on forged crank

hey guys,
what is the max undersize you can go on a forged sledgehammer lunati crank? any ideas? I would really like to use clevite bearings. Thanks for any info. Is 0.4 the max or can you go more

.4 is quite a bit, I assume you mean .040"

.040" is probably the limit to what most anyone would say to use, period. let alone a "race" inspired motor (something you're gonna run the hell out of day-in and day-out)

I personally wouldn't have a problem with running a crank that's been turned .040" under. especially if it were a forged unit.
