I would just sell the MSD stuff and buy the Mallory 685 box, its an ignition box, 2-step, rev limiter, window switch, and timing retard box all in 1.

Iv done a lot of research on it. Theres a lot of people using it. Basically when you start your car, you turn the **** to 15*. So then the **** at 15* is what your stock timing is (not saying it is 15* but the **** is). Then you turn it down from there. So turn it down to 13* and you retarded the timing 2*.

I know a few buddys who has 9/8 sec. cars. They only use msd. They said the mallory stuff is lower quality. I would listen to people who actually use them and not from keyboard warriors. Stay with msd products, proven to work.

I'm going to hit the dyno, if I can find one when I get done with my nitrous setup. If I have to retard any timing, I will figure out how to use that feature on my MSD Optispark. All it is is turning a screw with that, but I suppose you can't readjust it from inside the car that way.

Yeah because the mallory box I had on my car never cause me problems, but that somehow makes me a keyboard warrior? Or maybe the MSD box that took a **** on my friends car makes him a keyboard warrior too?
