Need help! supercharger mods
im currently running a stock lt1 with pacesetter LT's, full 3" exhaust, msd box, coil, wires and ngk plugs with 3.73's out back. im having trouble staying consistent with my times and im kinda worried that im not making all the power that i should. im running about six psi but i have stock injectors and stock tuning. I would really appreciate it if you can help me, i usually run about 12.92@110 mph while shifting at a stock 5700 rpm. i wanted to know about what numbers should i be putting down at the track and on a dyno. and also will injectors and tuning help out alot? will appreciate the help!

You know you need a stall !!!!!!!! and add more boost to that thing!!!!!!!! j/k I do think you desperately need bigger injectors.... and a tune is a must for your car at this time. I would expect an improvement in your times just with the tune. How much does your car weight????? I would aproximate 320Hp at the flywheel based on the times you run.

thanks bro, i plan to do all that and more looking for consistent low 12's. all i need is the money lol. by the way i saw the video with the gt500 and that TA, it was messed up and it did look kinda slow.
P.S. lets go to SA to run at the track on the 16 just for fun.

yeah man definitely with a stall to begin with maybe a vigilante 2800 would be great so ur can launch off with boost and end with ur boost. being the fastest in our team, u can be even faster. upgrade ur injectors and tune ur computer and maybe a bad *** tune up u should be hittin low 12's without a doubt
shitt i heard that with a great suspension work u could improve and lower ur E/T's to high 11's . yep ur talking low numbers with stock engine!!! shitt still room for heads, cam, and the whole works. damn just thinking of how quick its gonna be shitt i got king kong in my shorts

i would say 3k stall mainly to let you make more boost at the line, i would say kick the boost up to about 8 psi with stock bottom end, then tune it and i can see you in the low 12 and high 11s.

Hey, anytime Bro, but looks like you're not that far away from reaching that goal. I strongly believe that a tune should make you achieve those times easily . I would love to go to SA, but it limits my free time, I really feel like time goes by really fast in my life! And that video... it sure looks like that race was arranged somehow, there's something that just doesn't look right. Oh.... and you know...we all need the money I sure will be running at the track later, not on the T/A since its my daily driver, but in a couple of months... I should have the '75 camaro running up again, I just got other priorities for now. I am not looking to break any records, but I like the atmosphere at the races, I just can't seem to get away from that great feeling

Hey Fred!!!! nice seeing you around here I see you already got a couple of posts!!! its all good nice to see you guys posting up. And Fred is right, I've read here from people that have time slips proving that suspension mods do lower times. Almost everyone will tell you that rear ends in our cars don't hold up for long... that they're weak... you can search it, its there. Thats something to think about when you get a stall.

As far as converter, when my setup was similar to yours I had the best results with a Vig 3600.
Definitely get a set of 42# injectors at the least, along with a dyno tune by a reputable tuner.
On a stock motor, with a Powerdyne SC @ 6psi, catback, MSD box, and NGK wires I did a best of 323rwhp on the stock tune... Tuner would not even attempt tuning it with the FMU and stock injectors.
I came back with 42's and no FMU, dyno tuned to 364rwhp with no other changes.
I added longtube headers, ORY, and MSD coil, went to the dyno and broke the Powerdyne.
After that I found a deal on a slightly used Procharger D1sc pulleyed for 8psi. Went to the dyno, found I could rev to 6500 without a hitch and got 10psi. This netted me 453rwhp and 430ft-lbs.
Hopefully that will give you an idea of what different changes can do with your setup. One thing Id like to recommend, start saving for a forged motor NOW... It would be nice to have the money saved and waiting when the stock one goes, which it will.

I really appreciate the invitation Bro, its just that I can't see me there just sitting at the races and not trying myself... I don't have a car that runs extraordinary times... I know its all about having a good time but it just doesn't feel right. By the way Bro,you do a good job representing LT1s

I did not break anything in the motor, ring lands and etc where all in tact. Just wore out the rings and started losing compression. It still ran when removed, albiet with alot of smoke out of the breather.

That is by far the longest I have heard of a stock shortblock lasting under boost, good job.
I made 340rwhp/372rwtq with my stock LT1 and hooker shorty headers. That was on 4.5psi of non intercooled Powerdyne boost.

Yeah, I credit that to my tuner! Jeremy Formato has always done me right and Ive never had a problem stem from his work.
That and I think that the car/motor was built on a wednesday or somethin... Cause I did beat the snot out of it for a long, long time. It used to be a factory freak, now its my biatch
