Default Hot cam kit guys in here

It seems like a good kit for the money. Are you happy with the power it makes? What does the idle sound like? Got one forsale?

It's not the best out there..but I am happy with it. It's got a nice sound to it, and not too much is needed to run it.

I purchased my LT4 Hot Cam kit (from summit or jegs) before I looked into ALL the available options; it's better than stock, but I cannot say anything other than that. I do know this; the guys from Texas Rear Turbos told me there are better cams to use with my Squires kit.

Tuning is almost required even when you change spark plugs! PCM 4 Less did a nice job for me! Bryan Herter smoothed out the idle on my 96 quite nicely.

Not really anything, it's a nice kit. Intake and Exhaust help, and it needs a mild tune.

I like it. Just the right amount of power I was looking for. A slight lope @ idle - enough to know it's not stock. Factory PCM will run it fine, but a tune is always in order anytime you change something getting air/fuel in or out of the motor.

A good combo for me was CC305 with 1.6 rockers. Just had to change out springs every 20,000 miles.

I ran the hot cam kit in my car when I first got it. with my home ported heads it put down over 335rwhp on a mustang dyno. HP was still going up at 6200 where a had the rev limiter set at.

The hotcam kit is the best for the money. You're getting the cam, rockers, springs, retainers, locks, and shims for less than $600. You can't beat that with a stick when it comes to dollar/hp.

The results are not bad at all. I put down 334/348 through my 3000 stalled car with the hotcam kit and a mailorder tune.

On the bottle my car is trapping 118 -- with a moderate tune and conservative a/f. Bang for the buck, I'm extremely happy with the results at this point.
