Lingenfelter Heads and Cam
I have a 1997 Z28 as you can see in my sn and I was thinkin about gettin the Lingenfelter Heads for the LT1 and the the Cam #74211 or #74219. I know all about Lingenfelter but was wondering if you guys think this is a good route to go or is there a better combo out there for around the same price. I know usually with something like this your paying for the name but just thought i'd get some feedback on this. Thanks in advance.

Advanced induction and lloyd elliott are also good personaly I am going with AI 190s since I have a 95 with the older heads to do it. For yours I would go with something like port pros or LE.

Lingenfelter heads/cam will make good power with GREAT driveability. His stuff just isn't as budget oriented as LE or AI...
the heads are 1765 for a pair and are cnc ported(can get them hand finished for 300 extra bones), 2.00/1.56 stainless intake valves, dual valve springs, 10 degree titanium retainers/locks, valve seals, guide plates and arp studs. Really not that bad of a price, and I'd trust they know there stuff at lpe.

Yeah, LPE is not cheap, but all I can say is that their stuff runs very well and it extremely durable...My short block from them is 12 years old now and has never been apart. The heads on my car were originally done by them (and are what Jimbo is talking about above) and still have the same 12 year old valve springs which tested perfect by Eric Bradby in 2005 when he went thru the heads to find more air...BUT as said before there are places that seem to have moved farther ahead with the LT1 series stuff and do it for less...If you were to chose LPE you'd get a good proven combo that is very streetable and will pass emissions with ease, but you'll probably leave some power on the table...

Yea the LPE heads are 1765 not including the core charge. LLoyd Elliots heads and cam package is 1750 plus shipping for the LE2. So far that sounds like the best way to go.
