Default Valve spring question

I am shopping for some new or gently used valve springs for my LT1 thats getting the hotcam and 1.6 rockers but my question is

I am finding 10 degree and 7 degree locks for the springs, can I use either kind or do I need a certain degree to use with the stock valve stems? please clarify.

thanks so much

You can use 10° or 7° locks with your stock valves. Youu just have to make sure if you order 10° locks to use a 10° retainer.

They are a stronger lock. The more deg. the less of a chance the locks will pull through.
