exhaust idea
Has anyone ever used one of these on their LT1 cars? Its a flowmaster super 40, 3" inlet, dual 2.5" outlets....case is 5"x10"x13" so its comact somewhat. I was thinking mounting it somewhere before the rear axle and running custom pipes out the back with tips. I love the sound of flowmaster and I know they are better than that 80 series tranverse muffler.
I am seriously thinking about it and wonder what kind of comlications I may run into. I have some suspension work to do this weekend so I may get under there and do some measurements.
Let me know what you all think.
Mike
Here is a pic of the muffler.

With both outlets on the same side, it's bound to cause you problems.
Lots of bends in a tight radius.
Flowmaster makes a 3" in, 2x2.5" out that fits Fbodies.
If you like the flowmaster sound, it's your best bet.
