In the last few weeks i have noticed a bad rattle when i first start the in the morning. Sounds like a rocker arm is lose, but its not. I have checked for exhaust leaks, but there is no carbon build up around the flanges. I hope it is not a lifter going bad. plus i have noticed that my oil pressure is 0 for about 6-10 sec when i first start the car (when cold). the noise tens to go away once the car is up to 160-180 deg. The noise has not hurt the car performance. I just want to figure out what it is, so i dont hurt the motor.

Any help please.

Sounds like a lifter not pumping up all the way. How cold has it been down there lately?

It has been in 30s most nights. 45 or in the morning.

What weight oil are you running, and how long has it been since its been changed?

15-50 about 1600 miles or so.
