Default Limiter

On the OBD1 LT1, does the RPM limiter work via with fuel cut off or ignition cut off?

fuel cutoff. i just adjusted mine using tunercats.

shuts off fuel. you can retune ur own with CATS tuner. ppl say not to go much over 6300 rpms with a stock LT1 tho

Thanks guys. The reason for the question is that the LTCC system I just installed has a rev limiter leading me to think the stock limiter was by ignition and that by installing the LTCC, I had bypassed it.

i got mine set to 6700 but im not stock

What you want to do it get the limiter in the pcm set high and set the ignition based one lower.

that stuff is cool too but real high 13s and low 14s in the 1/4 isnt. we need those air conditioned fully streetable 11s lol. cant have those imports giving us any competition now can we.

no way, i hate imports. if u go to my myspace i got a video of me beatin a honda in the 1/8th. he had nitrous and a turbo, he gave me a run for my money and almost got me in the top end but i got him down low, gotta love low end torque LT1's
