Default Operation: Cam Swap...any tips?

So tonight we will begin tearing everything down and hopefully getting the springs swapped out as well.

We plan on doing as much as we can today and then finishing up on Friday.

Any tips on anything? Even the little things, just so we know what we are getting into.

Is there a special tool to remove the opti, thought i heard this somewhere?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Joey

8mm socket I think to take it off, there is no special tool to remove the OPTI, there is one to actually take it apart.

Yea, it's pretty easy to do, just remember to take the Lifters out. If you don't and pull the Cam, have fun getting the Oil Pan off.

The cam will be arriving tomorrow at 4:30 and i am trying to get done by tomorrow at 8:00 so as long as everything comes out tonight and springs are swapped we should be good.
