Default Where is the 2nd Location for the OPSU?

(Oil Pressure Sending Unit)

I know there is one over the Oil filter. But were is the other spot?

My buddys cars is striped (one by filter) and im fresh out of ideas to get an OPSU in there. I tried using the setup on my old motor its 90* and it make then unit face forward.

Also, if you guys have any ideas on how to get this spot to work or plug it up, that would be helpfull. It will leak if its not plugged up, but i cant plug it if its stripped.

Thanks Guys.

Tony.

Would this be it? This is the only one I know of. Never seen one near the oil filter, but I've heard about it.

maybe use some thread seal tape and tape the crap out of the the OPSU's thread where it screws in and stick it back in there? Isnt the other one on the back right side of the manifold or is that the one your talking about...

I figured I'd try to help!

Nice Ralls!!!

That would be the spot, im wondering if the intake has a fittting for it though?

Phrozen, the units original location only threads/spins 1 time and then falls, im not at all willing to force it in to its location because 1. not my car 2. not worth it.

Thanks guys!

Tony.

Like a threaded hole? It does.. I had to take mine off once and the OPSU threads into the intake.

The sensor doesn't thread into the intake. It threads into the block at the location shown in the picture Ralls posted. The intake has a notch that clears the fitting .

Ill have to try some stuff to get it to work. I have a bunch of small brass fittings, hopefully i can get those to fit.

Damnit!

I have 1/2 stuff.

First things first i need to figure out how to plug the hole in the side of the block, either that or retap it. Tapping wont be easy because of the location.

Any ideas?

Tony.

The fitting above the oilfilter is 1/4 npt you can try to run a pipe tap in there as they are tapered and may just push it a little deeper .Good luck
