Cammed 355 is not going to sound that different from a cammed 350.

I've got a +15 HP sticker mod waiting to go on the car, so 5 c.i. must be worth at least 20HP .

lol 5 ci dont make a difference, its the new rings and stuff that make rebuilding it worthwhile. and theres no way a 355 is gonna sound different from an identical 350

LOL wow i didnt think I would see my old thread again. The reason i asked 355 is because I am building 1 at the moment and want to here some already built. no the 5ci doesnt make a difference especially in sound, but compression, cam type, and heads do along with what ever type of exhaust you run

Yea, that goes with anything. I re-built my 350, and that thing tears up alot of cars. Me personally, I prefer to keep it a 4.000" Bore, you keep the Cylinder walls pretty thick, that's just me though. I am building a 402ci L92 soon, I just got ahold of my 6.0l Iron block to do it with. I could build that or a 408ci out of it, but the numbers between them both show minimal differences. That and all the good stuff requires a 4.000" bore or larger, so I am good. It's still over 400ci's, that's stout regardless what it is.

yea i agree it makes some difference, but some peoples biggest highlight of their car is that its bored 30 over. they are like " i got a 454 bored 30 over". lol if you got a 454, the 30 over isnt that big a deal

What proof do you have that an extra 5cc because of a .030" overbore gains more than a minimal amount of power?
