anyone wire up an electic water pump?
i am going to get a new water pump and opti here and i was debating on getting an electic water pump, but i want to hear if anyone else has done this and what they used to power the pump. thanks

First mod I did to the 93, not tough at all.
Used a relay to kick it on when the car is running or in ACC. (Allows you to run the pump anytime)
Here's the howto I followed, it was great.

Tip: use the same (or heavier) gauge wire as the wire privided with the pump.
That thing draws a good amount of current and it will melt undersized wires.

I wired mine up to a switch (using a fusealbe link, of course). When I get time, I'm going to use this method.

I used the AIR method that sweetred posted above. It works great but the only thing I don't like about it is that the pump only works when the engine is running. Be nice to have the pump running and fans on with engine off to cool it down quicker.

You can check out www.innovativewiring.com Gary offers wiring harness kits for the electric Water Pump.. Im not sure if he offers the wiring harness for the f-car but he can prolly easy make them.
