Default pushrod length for cc306 with 1.6rr

I seem to be having problems with the length on my push rods. They seem way to short. with the lifter all the way down the rocker bottoms out on the stud before any adjustment at all. I have regualr sbc nsa rollers and comps guide plates with arp studs. the only thing i can think of is that the smaller cam base circle is lowering the lifter and therefor making it seem like the push rod is way short. The roller tip is no where near centered either. it contacts only the inside of the valve stim tip. Anyone have the same prob i'm having?

You need the gmpp guideplates they are the only ones that work on our cars besides adjustables. And get a pr checking tool to check the length.

Is the cc306 a small base circle cam cuz most companies all saying that i should usually go .05 longer but that still looks way short. guess im just gonna have to break out the adjustible pushrod.

When I ran the cc306 cam in my motor with stock heads I used The Comp Magnum hardened push rods that jegs recommended and I used 1.6 pro magnum roller rockers non-self aligning and Comp guide plates and it worked wonderful. No problems.

i have those exact pushrods but they are stock length 7.2 i dont know if they recomended longers ones for you. may have to go with the promag rockers cuz these aluminum ones are to thick at the base. Thats probably why they are hitting.
