Default Any1 buy just the MSD CAP/ROTOR

My dist is still good and I need a cap/rotor. All of the screws in my dist broke off while removing the cap. Does the MSD cap/rotor come with new screws?

it comes with new screws but they are the same thread as the originals that broke. I am in the middle of getting two broken ones out. I am doing just the MSD cap and rotor.

I went ahead and replaced the distributor too. The way my luck works the distibutor seal would leak start leaking a month later.

I did the cap and rotor and it lasted for about half a year before the rest of the distributer finally **** out.

My point exactly, if your gonna do it, do it all, don't screw around with it because it will bite you right in the ***. Nothing worse than to have to do the same work twice.

I did buy the kit from MSD a while back... and It has been running like a champ!!! As long as the optical sensor is good, you should be fine with just a cap and rotor! I did mine a while back, check your timing chain and gears while you're at it, I also did mine when I did my opti. Good luck and have fun with it
