Exclamation I need help with the timing chain cover

I just installed a cam and i noticd now that the timing chain cover is off i cant quit seem to get it back on. It seems the oil pan gasket is in my way and I noticed the grove in the timing chain cover but i cant get the gasket to fit. Please help me if you have any information on exactly how to get that damn thing back on....thanks

try loosening the pan so you can bring it down more. the cover has to be put on parralel to the block. So if its askew then it wont go on

alright i'll try that i thought about that before but i didnt know if there was enough clearence between the pan and the front cross member

There is once you drop it. You got to drop the pan down a little bit.

Yeah you just drop it down a bit. I was actually able to get the cover on last time without dropping the pan. Just make sure you dont pinch the oil pan gasket. It will **** oil like crazy.
