Default Fuel Pump Install soon...quick ?

So I am having a shop install a new fuel pump soon. In the future I do plan on more mods, probably H/C in the next year or so. I am not sure where they will get the pump from and I know it will be an OEM pump. My question is what fuel pump should I buy and take into them to install? This should be cheaper than having them pick one up correct? I have heard of some minor modifications needed to be made in order to put some after market pumps in. So in short, what pump should I buy that will be an easy swap for a shop doing the work? Thanks.

I am new to the Camaro scene but not new to the car scene. I would suggest a walbro fuel pump I have used them with no issues what so ever. I even used a 255l/h in a 94 Sti when I was stationed in Japan.

I have seen them used in 700 hp applications with no issues and to top it off they are reasonably priced.

I would check up on them!!

EDIT: For spelling

Thanks for the help. Anyone else have anything to offer? I heard the walbro didn't go in without modification.

What about this pump? Does everything come with it that is needed to replace the stock pump?

Yeah, a 255 will do fine for what you have planned. I ran a Walbro for a while, and don't remember any modification for the install. Racetronix has a nice kit for those too.

Ok I found this

http://www.neweraperformanceparts.co...KV=walcamaro|0

Would a reputable mechanic have any problems installing this? Is that all I would need to take to them? Also, do I want the low or high pressure, I assume the high right?

Finally, this has to be cheaper going this route than having them buy the pump for me right? I just want to upgrade the pump now since it is bad and not have to do it again when I do more mods.

Thanks

Anyone have input on my previous post? I really don't want to spend 250 on a pump.

Stock pressure is fine, what matters is flow, not pressure.

Ok, so the low pressure would be fine. Would there be anything wrong with going with the high pressure one since I plan on future mods like H/C? Also, any input on my other questions?

High pressure is fine, your fuel pressure regulator will just regulate it down.

That's answers one question. But does the link I posted before for the $90 walbro setup have everything someone at a shop would need to install and go without running into problems?
