did you hook it back into the right spot, my BBK TB had 2 different spots, I wager it was due to the Tranny kick down cable for 4L60 transmissions in 1993 fbodies. More then one time I hooked the cruise in the wrong spot and I had a crap load of slack.

when going WOT, does it not drop down a gear?
about 8 inches off the throttle body following the line back, there is some clips in the line. Is that correctly hooked up?

Is it in its proper bracket next to the TB? If you're running a 700r4 like most of the Goebels are that I have seen on here, then your bracket will have to hold the throttle, cruise, and TV cables. I have the bracket on my car.

ive got a problem with my holley throttle body doing the same thing. when i hook it up in one spot its to long and in the other its to short. and even worse i have some play in the throttle cable itself which is keeping it from opening all the way. any thoughts?

The way you were saying it sounded as if it was not run through the bracket. On my TB there are two **** and one is for the cruise and the other for a 700r4 TV cable. Do you have it on the wrong tit? The cable needs to pull on the the throttle unlike the TV cable hookup in which the throttle pulls on it. You can pull the throttle with your fingers and tell.

Your problem doesnt seem like the one I had, but just incase I will post a pic of what was causing my problems and you can atleast check it.

The clips on the side have to be clipped all the way, I would unclip and then clip it back together. The first time I just squeezed it together, and it didnt fix it. Then once I unclipped and put it back correctly, it no longer had slack.

nah man if I did have it, it was removed long time ago my intake isnt a 94.. none of my parts are really original rofl but it works and hauls ***.. I was checking the cable today and there is a part where the rubber has come off the cable and its started to rust that big thing of cables inside it

but I can pull the end piece and it has some slack like half a inch.. its such a simple system i dont get it lol.. it worked before we didnt mess with the CC box u know at most it was unhooked.. the cable was ziptied out of the way
