Your going to need flat top pistons and probably still have to mill the heads, as of last year these heads dropped compression on the motor and compression is what makes power.

Would that comp 306 cam and those heads make pretty good power and be street able with 3000 stall.

i would do a search either here in the LT1 section or camaroz28.com also find Lloyd Elliot, he ports heads that can match AFR's and be a fraction of the cost.

the heads drop compression on a stock motor. im running them on my 383 with 11.2:1 compression with dished pistons. i would recommend buying them unassembled and trying a couple different valves. let me talk to the guy who flowed my heads and ill shoot you a pm about the ones that worked best. we got them to flow better with a different valve that was back cut but i dont know to what degree. im going to run them like they are for a while then take them back off and port them the rest of the way. they are definitely a good head to start with and have a good amount of material that can still be ported. shoot llyod elliot an email and he'll tell you some of the numbers hes gotten from ported trick flows. honestly though i only went with them because i could get a good price through the guy who helped build my motor, if you want to see better numbers out of the box call up llyod and he'll set you up with an le2 package with the cam that is similar to the cc306.

You guys (Trickflow) should develop a race style intake to go along with these heads...

We do not sell direct. Check pricing with one of my dealers. Here is a link to the list.

the trick flows are nice, but if your goals are 11's and on a budget, ported stockers will do the job and save some $ for other mods!!. Now if your tryin to run low 10's or 9's na then the trick flows would be a good investment. DO some searching and you will see that ported stck heads will flow like aftermarket castings, unless you have the aftermarket pieces ported. Again it depends on your budget and goals. Throwing parts on a car does not make it fast!
