Pics from the other day...
A friend took the pics and I finally got em from him.
My 97 Z28...my roommates 92 Talon...and my other friends 81 Camaro.
Thought this was cool how my friend just pointed the camera behind his head while driving and took it. Of coarse i had to add a little something to it.
Then this decided to drive by us and we followed him to this park where he talked to us for a bit till some other people showed up. He's only had it for 3 months...*******.
And this happened to be in it...mmmm.

ya nice z28 but being next to those other 2 cars (riced out eclipse and the beat up 2nd gen) makes your car look trashy. try washing that thing up a bit too, a little tireshine can make the most boring wheel/tire combo alive. Cleaned up with the right attitude and u should be roling around with the 06 stang in the pic. I mean if u have like an 85 Z28 carburated than ud fit right in...

I really appreciate you calling my car "the beat up 2nd gen". Considering it's in MUCH better condition than your "average" late 2nd gen. If you read the bottom of my sig, I'm more worried about go fast parts for the time being.
I'm not really offended though, the guys here on LS1tech seem to like it:

nice pics, dont listen to the guys on here. and the talon is far from being riced out. they are great little cars. a friend of mine has a 91 talon running 22 lbs on pump gas. that little bastard scoots. as for the second gen, keep doing what your doing. dont let the ignorant people on this board bring u down. and goodlooking 97.

Schweet, thanks for the kind words. It really didn't bother me (too much) when he said that. I know the condition of my car, and after I looked at some of his other posts and saw him saying something to the effect of not liking any camaro before 93 I laughed. I mean I see his point - there is nothing sexy about a restored (or original) 69 Z28 <---yuck, what a horrible car
Letsrun - Looks like all your 80 needs is a maybe a little body work (can't really tell) and some paint. As for your engine, what is it? I see fresh paint, so I'm wondering if it's been recently rebuilt, or if you or someone took some spray paint to it while it was in the car.
Cheers.
-Nate

Hey Nate81Camaro, don't worry about LT14MULAWS-6. The kid can't complete a sentence, let alone spell right. Don't let one opinion bring you down.
I mean, it's okay to be a die hard early-model chevy fan, but be somewhat considerate of other makers. I could tell by simply noticing how non-ricey the Talon was, that it would be fast. Usually the people that know how to go fast, don't slap on a bunch gay **** on their cars.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Except for the jerk that posted earlier about my friends DSM being riced out. And the picture doesn't do it justice but Nate's 81 is very nice looking in person. It just wasn't clean that day nore was mine. He just waxed his the other day and made me wanna hump his car. I love 2nd gens. And yea, my friends TSI is def no joke for him only payin 3800 bucks or it. And when Nate said earlier that the Talon beat a C6 corvette. He wasn't joking. I was right behind both of them. He killed the C6 of coarse from a stop. But then they raced from a roll (not sure what speed) and it was close till my friend missed 3rd and the vette tooled him. Idiot. Gosh! Anyway, 4 cylinders aren't my thing anymore but his is def a lot of fun to rip on.

Thanks man. They're all a definate work in progress of coarse but we love em. The ultimate goal is gonna be for me and Charlie (talon) to be in the low 11's and still be cruisin around town owning ****. lol. I'm not sure sure what Nate's goals are. Don't know if he's gonna go for street/strip or all out drag when all is said and done. Either way it's gonna be nasty.

Chris - we're gonna have to have Chaz post up all his mods. Goals for my car? EVENTUALLY, down the road, I would like to have a spray'd BBC, a PG or a 400 tranny (depending on what will let the tires to hook), a 9", tubed with big meats, and a new paint job (read in my sig below "Dreaming of" to see what I think of body work). I want to keep it street legal. I plan to keep building it until the day I die. Then my boy can take over on it.
It's my "wife's car". Simply put, it was hers until we started having kids, and she took over a more family orientated vehicle.

The cars aren't bad, I like the 97. Actually I would love to hear it! As far as the other cars, I don't have any disrespect for them. I think the reason you got so much crap about it was because of the arangement. A DSM, a 2nd gen, and an LT1 are kind of a wierd mix of cars. Also the picture dosen't do much justice for any of them I'm sure. However I like the 81 I think it's cool. I've always wanted to find a base model 2nd gen and restore it as a daily driver.
