Default Shop says i dont need to break it in...

I called the shop that built my motor and they said that i should just drive the car like i normally would and i dont have to worry about a thing. They run their motors on a "Sym-test" ( what is that? ) for 10-15 minutes to check all the pressures and said that's when they make the rings seat correctly. should i just listen to em and if something breaks then give em a call? Ima start working for the guys next week selling parts over ebay. So i guess i can trust em. i just dont wanna spin a bearing or anything.

What do yall think?

roller cam engines really dont need any special break in,, just run it for a while change the oil and your good to go

if a bearing is going to go it will happen no matter what

dont let any one tell you otherwise, the rings seat on the first start or soon there after. you dont need a break in.

mostly matter of opinion, but being its 2007,there's really no reason to wait 1000 miles to "break it in"

my machinist told me point blank,a bearing failure can occur in any manner you drive it,let the rings seat, change the oil and go play......
i will say this though when a motor is cold dont rev it up, let it get warm

Ya, most small blocks dont get oil all over the block for at least 2 mins. On a first start....just let it idle until you dont wanna hear it anymore. Make sure things are clearing and working in good order.

I wouldnt worry about it. There is no breaking in bearings. That is what the oil is there for. There is no metal to metal contact and if there is that is what will cause a bearing to spin. If the shop tested it and told you thats how they seat the rings then it sounds you are ready to go.
