Aftermarket Overflow Tank

Aftermarket Overflow Tank Guys I have been modifying a few things on the car and decided to add my Aftermarket Coolat tank (like the Jaz brand and Summit Brand). The only question I have is to I place the hose on the Bottom or the Top of the Tank???
What would be the con's to haveing it branch off each one into a "Y" and then going into the Radiator cap. The stock coolant system pulls the dex cool mix back into the radiator, I am just trying to make sure I won't have any problems.
Any suggestions?
