I just bought an altenator relocation kit and it does away with the power steering. I'm just wondering what to do with the rack. Do you leave it open? Plug it off? Need suggestions. Thanks

Your best bet would be to install a manual rack. If that's out of the question, then just loop the lines together, so the fluid can transfer back and forth as you turn. If you plug them it will build up pressure and increase resistance. Leaving them open would allow dirt to get in.

We have some brass filters at work that would allow it to breath and not get trash inside. What size plug will work? Right now a manual rack is out of the question (another baby on the way)

I would still prefer to loop it. That way you will retain some fluid for lubrication.
