Default throttle adjustment?

well after my build up: 503, longtubes, Impala HG, port and polish... I put a vette TB on the car also (had it painted)

anyways I was looking at the TPS readings and saw that at WOT (key on engine off) the TPS was only at 3.10V and 65% throttle angle.

I adjusted the cables slack to max and got 79% throttle angle and about 3.5XV. I have traction control with the motor pack on the drivers VC, so my question is, is there a way to adjust more of the slack out of the cable, because the cruise still doesn't work that well either? and it all goes through that motor unit. thanks for the help

Don

the cable slide is all the way back, the other play is in the motor pack.

it was an extra TB and I had it painted while still driving the car, it really had nothing to do with being a vette TB, it was just an extra one

Well, just an FYI, the years matter on the TBs. My 93 is unique, to probably the 92 and 93 LT1s. The 58mm I have is actually made for a 93, but I stuffed it on my 91 TPI no problem. To put it on my 93, I just need to wire in the different TPS sensor. Different style, flat style connector.

Are the throttle blades not opening all the way or is it just the tps. Are you checking it from the pedal or the tb itself. If you are checking it from the pedal are you sure its getting full range and not stopping because its hitting the carpeting.

the tps seems to be reading correctly, with the pedal floored and someone else under the hood the tb has much more travel...

Cut all the carpet and stuff out from under the pedal.
