car backfires alot.. well i have a 94 lt1..i have stock exhaust manifolds with the slp lm adapter to a 3in magnaflow bullet...cats gutted too...wen i floor it and the car shifts..its auto...the car backfires(pops) wen it goes into the next gear...mostly 1st to 2nd...what can cause this...not enough back pressure? let me know what you think

my old auto trans am did the same thing when it woiuld shift "bang"! sounded like a gun shot...i wouldnt worry about... probably just the shock in stress the motor recieves when its free inbetween the shift and when it acutally engages the next gear....

No.. I went with the AC Delco 41-906's..that is the Factory Plug for them. I never had a problems after that, ran real strong.
