You can, but I would definitely NOT recommend it. I have the 230/236 Comp cam and it is a pain to drive with all the cam surge. I'm used to it now, but it will get on my nerves more times than often. Get a converter if you can.

I run a Vigi 3200 in my TA, cant see why you would not want a stall. Doesn't hurt drive ability at all and the performance gains are better than any thing else you can do, maybe other than nitrous. Nothing gets you .5 off your times like a good converter would. Do the stall before the cam your 1/4 mile times will thank you. I bet you pick up more from a converter swap than you would a cam swap.

Probably just fine.
I had 3.42's in mine with a stock stall without any problems, keep in mind I also had a stroker motor (385 cubes) which helped in low end power and driveability.

If you have a lock up converter you'll be fine.

It's suppose to lock up at 43 mph. You can change that with tuning. I know that because my converter locked up at precisely twice that speed at 86 mph. I sent the computer back to MTI (mail order tune) and they fixed it.
