Default Blown Head Gasket Repair

I have just had a blown Head Gasket repaired. I have been told the engine oil should have been changed at least a couple of times to completely remove any remaining coolant left in the oil.Now I have a couple spun bearings. Could anyone help me out with some info? Thanks

We always use motor flush after replacing the head gaskets, sometime's we'll flush the motor twice just to make sure everything is clean.

Default Thanks!

That is what I suspected. When we drained the oil it looked very "watery". I only put about 150 -200 miles on it.Just had a head and cam package done too. It cost me $5000 so far and I owe the guy $1500 more. Now I have to send my block to the machine shop. Should I pay him or take him to court?

court time, for 5k if he didnt replace bearings wtf?? dont pay and sue

my friend just spend 1-2k on getting heads put on and dropped a valve a day or 2 later.. most likely trashed his whole engine bullshit...

Yea, if he was any good builder he should of re-built the complete bottom end after that. I learned from that mistake once.
For $1500+ in labor for the amount of work done is kinda high IMO..

You think he should have not done just the head and cam package after the blown head gasket? He actually told me it was ok to drive the car to him with the blown head gasket, about 4-5 miles.I also ended up with other things ...messed up.The old ignition wire was used, what happened to the one that came in the new set?Header bolt on one side missing, both sides leaking. Timing chain cover leaks, and tried to cob it by smearing sealer all over it.etc. etc.

He is supposed to be very good, but I have heard some stories.I just want to be sure he did not have anything to do with my spun bearings. Because he did not do some things, he said he would do. Plus I think I was overcharged on 1 item by several hundreds! But if there is any doubt, I will pay him and never let him work on my vehicles any more. Thats for sure.I just want my car running again soon What would you do? I could use some advise Thanks

Well from the get go.. any Engine that blows a Head Gasket and it mixed, I am tearing it all down, cleaning everything, and replacing the Bearings. Him telling you it was alrite to drive it there is what killed it, I'll throw money on it, I learned the hard way with that.

When you brought it there, what was told to you that would be done, what did you buy and pay for, and what did you actually get back..
