Default Rear O2 sensor delete

Should I choose this option with my tune? The car has a few bolt-ons but it has to pass emissions and inspection... is this really going to affect any of that?

It depends on the type've inspection. If all you have to pass is a sniffer test, then tuners can tune the car to pass emissions fine with just the front O2's. But if the inspection is the type where they also plug into your PCM, if the rear O2's are programmed out then it'll report a "not ready" error for them which is a red flag.

Well, I can find that out tomorrow. I guess what I'm asking is will it save me some headaches down the road? Do you really need the rears?

All the rear O2's do is monitor the exhaust after it's passed through the cats. From a performance standpoint, they're totally worthless. If your emissions testing will allow you to get rid of them, then do it. One less thing that can throw a code and need to be replaced if it goes bad down the road.

So I'll find out if they plug into my PCM... I'm going for inspection tomorrow.
