Default Engine Block Identification..Help Needed!!!

I recently purchased a bare LT1 block and would like to know what year the block is and what car it came out of. I have searched this topic and found a picture someone posted but still can't quite figure out what I need to know, can someone shed some light on this situation?? The numbers on the block are as follows.

Pad, on right front of block: V0327XPN

Near oil filter: 162196337

ITS A 327!!!! Kidding, sorry. The ident number is on the back by the bell housing lol Year of the block doesn't matter. The components, those do. If the intake has a fuel line cross over in the front, 94+. If not, and it's smooth from TB to the back then 92-93 which is MAP only. I think if you read the Newbie FAQ (not to be a dick), you might get quite a few questions answered. Otherwise (to be a dick) 5seconds (literally) with Google tells you everything. http://www.mortec.com/castnum.htm

Now, you'll probably say "My Number isn't listed there", which is true, but then again I don't know if you grabbed the correct one! HOWEVER!! 327 is on there, and all 92-97 LT1 and LT4 use the same blocks

To make sure it's not a Baby LT1, on the casting (raised) on the back it'll say 43 or 57. You want the 57 for 5.7L and not the 4.3L baby LT1 from quite a few Caprice and Impalas (more so the Caprice I believe). Then again, if it is the 4.3, bore it way out, get some 5.7 heads and keep the crank in there, make a destroker motor for high rev I wanna do that :\ Make a True 327 LT1!

The 4.3 has a 3.00" stroke. It would take a bore of 4.165" to make a 327. A 302 would be a natural (4.00" bore x 3.00" stroke).

You're right, I"m still drilling that misinformation out of my skull :\ That's going to take some time. Even explained to me I can't figure out how it works and why people get longer rods.

Don't explain it, don't want to Hijack his thread.

That site I linked to, make sure to read the identification section.
