Sounds like the cat is plugged, looking for recommendations (need one for emissions) for a replacement. A local shop quoted me a price of $150 for a Magnaflow and the install, seems like a decent deal. Also, I was wondering if anyone has experimented by gutting the innards maze of the muffler, did it make a noticeable performance difference?

Edit: 94 Z28 M6, CAI, no other mods.

in my experience gutting the cat really didnt do anything besides make the car louder, smellier and unable to pass emissions if i had to. no noticeable gain
