My guess would be to slip the clutch out around 2500 and depending on your traction you can either go wot or pedal it as needed so you don't blow the tires off.

Whatever gives me the best launch, it varies each time I go to the track.

As high as you can go without blowing the tires. Might want to invest in some DR for when you go to the strip.

yeah you can't go wrong with some drag radials. a friend of mine launches his at about 4000-4500 rpms. he rides out the clutch pretty good. doesn't squeel the tires on street tires. it's up to you how high you want to take it.

is it true that it is best to lauch out of 2nd gear on lt1 (m6)? or just launch out of first? i ran last night for the first time my r/t sucked but i could not seem to get my launch down i ran a really crappy 1/4 14.8 96mph r/t 972 almost a whole sec. does anyone have any suggestions to get me in the 13's were i should be?

your reaction time has nothing to do with your time down the 1/4 mile. as for launching it in second i would say just stick to launching in first. as far as the 13 seconds i would say you could get in but it depends on your driving. our cars down here in North Texas are 14.5's and higher in A4 LT1's i guess it all depends on the altitude and elivation.

Ideally, I'd like to leave off the limiter, but last time I tried that, the tires filed a formal complaint. Our crappy tracks only allow ~2500-3000 with my M6 car.

Dont forget that the 10 bolt rear end and drag radials will most likely lead to the rear end going KABOOM if you get that nasty hook in most cases, a few guys get lucky. This is even more so the case if you have engine mods.

3500-3800RPM with bolt on's on stock style 235 street tires, for 2.0X sixty foots. easy into it, then hammer it - also known as the jedi throttle role

Typically launch around 4500-5000rpms. Its takes me a little more due to my gears.

Find the limiter and let'er fly. 9" Spooled 3.89's, 26x10.5 Et Streets, and 6500 = proper launch
