Thanks guys I just bought a car and I am trying to puzzle together what is in it "after I bought the car I found out that the guy I bought the car from is a liar". He said it had a comp cam but then he gave me a magazine and showed me it had the AFR heads customized by T.P.I.S "53cc" and the ZZ-409 cam. I was worried at first but I can see T.P.I.S etched into the heads so I think it does have the ZZ-409 cam also "it's pretty big". Then motor only has like two hundred miles on it and the guy said that it can only be tuned by timing adjustments is this true? Oh yeah does any one know what kind of power this motor should be producing with this head/cam setup and supporting mods?

Thanks, Chase

I have ran that cam on my 396 Storker back in the day...It runs good, just think of it as a 305 comp cam (with less idle vacuum due to slower ramps). I believe the spects were 226/226 on a 112 with like .545 lift with 1.6 rockers. For a daily driver cam it's fine. Don't expect huge power with that cam and anything done by TPIS. Cam, Compression, Heads and intake are just part of the equasion for making power...Then it goes on to supporting mods and the combination as a whole (gearing, weight and stall if auto) as to how the engine will perform in a givin vehicle. That's why no one can just throw numbers at you....
