they do have them, it's also known as rock auto. there 300.00-400.00 depending on if you want the whole unit or not. hell, i would try jegs racing instead you can get one for 290.00 to 379.00 depending on the year. or just the cap and rotor for 114.00.......jegsracing.com.....800-345-4545....RON

Accell's and others are JUNK. i bought a cheapo and now after only a couple thousand miles have to replace the peice i got a new A/C Delco GM unit from NAPA for $318. Only get either a GM one or MSD. they are about $500 but after my other opti and now the new one i coulda bought a MSD.GRR.........

Your non-vented opti is a bit more expensive than the vented units used in 95-97. For OEM replacement pieces, try Jason Cromer @ Sam Taylor buick Cadillac 877-726-8295, www.gmpartshouse.com, or www.gmpartsdirect.com. Part number is 10457702 and shows as $350 and change at gmpartsdirect.com right now.

Accel doesn't make a non-vented replacement opti for the 92-94 LT1 either fyi. MSD does, but even those have had issues. I'd stick with an OEM replacement, and for the love of god don't do the cap and rotor, that's just asking for another date to work on your car.

I just installed an MSD pro billet in my car. Its a really nice piece and looks far better than the stock one. Plus it gets rid of the Mitsubishi optical trigger as well. My stock one had about 123K on it. The Reluctor ring the optical trigger was very rusty too. The new MSD unit gave me provisions to upgrade it so now its vented. It was $515 through summit, but I think it insurance so hopefully I won't ever have to worry about optis again... unless I want to advance the timing.

Don't do a crap & rotor kit. That's waste. You might as well replace the entire unit while you're in there. I did a crap & rotor kit 1 time. It didn't fix my problem. I learned my lesson from that. As for being cheap, I've heard Jason Cromer will give you the hookup on an Opti.

The cap and rotor is actually the expensive part LOL
And it's a pain in the *** to open it up when you realize your opti housing
was the problem from the beginning.
