Lightbulb lt1 hei conversion

I have a 95' LT1 from a Impala ss, I've been doing some research on converting from the optispark to a conventional HEI style distributor. Any help and info would be greatly appreciated. I've heard that a 90-92 TPI distributor, harness, and computer can be used.

Sure can, a slight tune will help even more.

Here's what your intake will look like, with the exception of the coolant ports. Those are only required if running a LT1 intake on a Gen1 engine.

Not my ride. Mines distributorless. I got them from the site I linked. Give Scott a call, he can hook you up for about $130 if you send him your intake.

Umm... the LT1 PCM requires the optispark to function. To use a rear installed distributor, you'll need to control the engine differently or go to a carb setup. LT1intake.com converts LT1 intakes to work on TPI-based engines.

The optispark, while a pain in the a$$, works well when in good condition.

The best thing you can do is convert to the LTCC system. http://www.bailey-eng.com/LTCC.html I'm glad I did...
