Default Does this spark plug look normal?

I have now 400 miles on the new motor as well as these new AC Delco plugs. The color of them is a rust brown or light brown.

Does this look normal, I am thinking the A/F ratio is a tad on the lean side from watching the beahvior of the O2 sensor voltage readings compared to my previous motor.

Thoughts?

There's something seriously wrong with your motor if your plugs are looking like that.

The motor is running strong, although I still want a good dynotune, that should happen soon. I am getting some false KR, but other than that it runs smooth and hard.

The plugs just started turning brown, at 300 miles the insulators were still very white. From what I have google searched this appears to be perfectly normal. maybe I am wrong here.

Isn't a light brown color normal? And wouldn't a lean condition turn them white?

Here is why I Think I am running lean.

The O2 MV readings when bouncing do not get into the 800's or higher on my Scanmaster, the old motor reached 900 MV routinely.

WOT O2 MV is low to mid 800's or so.

I think I am getting some very slight knock at high RPM's. Still might be false.

Oh my god love the avatar, it looks like Mario is trying to knock the bottom of that thang.

Turns out the rusty color is a normal result of running Torko in my last tank of gas. I was checking for detination.

At three hundred miles the insulators were still very white, does this indicate a very lean condition?

Get that thing on a dyno ASAP. My 02's read about 920-930 at WOT.

My first thought was water or antifreeze in the chamber.

The plug color is showing an additive fouling problem. Check for speckeling on the insulator of the plug for detination from running too lean. From the pick shown you don't appear to running lean, you can still see light carbon on the inside wall of the plug body.

From my readings here recently I've found @ WOT the O2 isn't used.

They aren't but you can still get a general idea of what the a/f is by what they display at WOT.

Dont see any specs on the insulator, maybe there is no detination after all. The KR I am getting is probobly all false.

My plugs look like that, but it is because I run torco in my car. If I run premium or race gas they dont turn that color.

WHAT about plugs that stay white every where. Even the electrode?

Can you see any speckeling on the insulator (little shinny specs)? Can you see any carbon on the inside wall of the spark plug body (the opposite side of the threads)?
