alright well i blew a head gasket about 2 months ago, i got that fixed and when i did so i did a cam swap. port/polish. springs. like everything but like before when im sitting at a stop light in this 90* weather the temp gauge imediately(sp) starts to move from 170 ish up to like 220-230. the fans come on but i still dont think this is right..any imput on what you would do, or what you think the problem is

Do you have a tune? The stock settings for the fans are about 227* low and 234* high. The LT1 is supposed to run that hot.
