They should work pretty good, you will obviously give up some power. You can't use the same LS1 lobes on LT1 cams though so you'll have to search through the lobe catalog to see what lobes you want to run.

This "off idles" term he's using is referring to a cam that will provide off idle torque. "StealthR," "Old Man Cam," etc. are street slang terms for a "sleeper" cam. (Cams that provide more power, but sound "stock.) In other words, a small cam.

The Crane 227 and Lingenfelter 211/219 cams are both proven performers. You might also look at the new Lunati "Voodoo" #60120.

Old man cam and Steath cams are the actual names of the camshafts, thunder racing sells them.

The term "Old man cam" has been around since before dirt was invented. Yes, Thunder Racing sells a cam that they've given that name, but they certainly didn't coin the phrase. It still doesn't change the fact that all the cams he was asking about are sleeper cams, which I believe was the point of this thread.

The short answer: an LS1 cam won't physically fit into an LT1 block. (Standard SBC cam journal diameter is 48mm vs. LS1's 55mm.) However, a custom cam grinder would most likely be able to grind you an LT1 cam whose specs match any of those cams you've mentioned.

The LPE 211/219 and the 219/219 ae both great sleeper cams as well as my current cam the 226/234 which was custom specd by Joe O...With my old capped up Borla it sounded like the was a bit of cam in there, but not very radical...
